![]() ![]() Organic farming practices are very important in this respect.This study was made to observe the impact of organic agricultural regime on the products in case of haricot beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L.). Today, sustainable agriculture and food content is a very important issue in the world. All the changes of essential minerals content of the sample (carrot) have found statistically significant except for Potassium (K) and Calcium (Ca), in this case the effect of gamma radiation was insignificant with the radiation doses which may arose due to the Tandem beam’s accelerator error. All the changes of essential minerals content of carrot have been found statistically significant except for 2.0 and 3.0 kGy radiation. The effects of gamma radiation are negatively correlated with radiation doses. The essential mineral contents of carrot have decreased with increase of radiation doses in most of the cases. In this study it was observed that the essential mineral contents of carrot are sensitive to radiation doses. The evaluated essential mineral contents of fresh and non-irradiated (control) carrot obtained were K 243427 ppm, Ca 202640 ppm, Cr 64427 ppm, Mn 12600 ppm, Fe 223011 ppm, Ni 37063 ppm, Cu 3057 ppm and Zn 3113 ppm but after irradiation the value of K, Ca, Cr, Mn, Fe, Ni, Cu and Zn has changed from the previous value in respect of various radiation doses. ![]() All the samples were kept at -200C temperature. The samples were treated with different radiation doses viz. The present study was carried out to assess the essential minerals content of carrot (Daucus carota L.) and to observe the effect of gamma radiation on the essential minerals content of the carrot by Tandem Accelerator. ![]()
